Amana for Tannenbaum

We headed over to the Amana Colonies for "Prelude to Christmas" and to see the Tannenbaum Forest. Brandon had double camera duty so we didn't get snapshots of many trees.

Santa was there too. Kurt was wary until he saw that he was giving out candy canes. Then it was okay to go and say hello. Luke had fallen asleep, and I didn't want to wake him up. He also brought along one of his reindeer, but I guess we didn't get a snapshot of him.

It was a very cold day, and we braved it as long as we could, but finally had to duck into the bakery and warm up while enjoying some delicious treats - yummy streusel and a fresh "gingerbread baby" (from a book we've been reading by Jan Brett).
