Yes, it's turned into an entire weekend of fun! :) This year, Brandon had a competition he was judging on St. Patrick's Day, so I tried to make him an extra special lunch on Friday.
We made traps again this year - here's Luke's
Here's Kurts
We set up a trail of gold coins to tempt the Leprechauns into the traps
Kurt wanted to try and catch a picture of them so he set up his camera
The leprechauns made the boys a rainbow hunt to try to find their pot o' gold
The leprechauns were naughty again this year and messed things up - messy books...
knocked down furniture...
switched the toothbrushes...
again with the green toilet water...
switched the boys to the wrong beds and stuck clovers on their faces... they also did some other tricks - put bananas in Kurt's bedroom, put their shoes in the dishwasher, etc.
When I woke up I checked the traps before the boys. They fell into Kurt's and someone lost a shoe!
They fell into Luke's and used some fun candies to get out |
Kurt could not believe what he found in his trap!
Then Luke FINALLY woke up. He was tired.
He did not want to share what he found in his trap
They followed the leprechaun dust all over the house where it led them to the stove and the beginning of their hunt.
One of the clues talked about having a big nose and Kurt thought the next clue might be hidden up his nose |
The hunt continues... |
THEY FOUND THE POT OF GOLD!!
Happy boys to have all the gold
Then we moved on to breakfast - they really enjoyed making rainbow fruit kabobs
We also had shamrock pancakes, with clouds in a bottle and shamrock syrup, pot o'gold eggs and lucky charms
For lunch we had shamrock sandwiches, leprechaun juice, lots of green fruits and veggies and our rainbow jello
A traditional dinner - corned beef and cabbage, boiled potatoes, and soda bread
We all enjoyed it very much. It was a fun day to spend with Lacey, Jeremy and Ryan.
