S'More please

Grammy made us s'mores in her oven. I'd never had one with such melted chocolate. Luke enjoyed his A LOT. He ate the first half a lot cuter, and then mastered his techniques by the time I got the camera out of the car.

Fountain Fun

We stopped off in SLC for a little bit of fun and business at the Gateway.
The boys watched the fountains for a while before I could convince them to go play in it.
I finally convinced Kurt to try to get across and back
Then he tried to get Luke to come with him - didn't happen
But he got braver and bolder
And had a great time!

Target Marketing

At our Target they have a giant corn on the cob with butter dripping off and we run under it so that it doesn't drip on us. When we stopped at this Super Target, Brandon posed like this under the popsicle, but I couldn't get my camera out fast enough, or discreetly enough. He didn't want me to take his picture. I couldn't get him to come back, but Kurt volunteered to take his place. So here he is, enjoying a gigantic orange creamsicle.

My flowers

I am really good at killing flowers, so I am super proud of my tulips this year.

Kurt found a 2-wheeled scooter (pretty beat up) at the DI yesterday and really wanted it. I told him he could buy it with his money if he wanted. When we got home he ran to give me his money. I heard the boys talking and Kurt comes back in with the money for me and a penny.
He said, "I told Luke he could have my old scooter forever if he gives me a penny. And he did!" I thought he was pretty slick to make a profit off his old toys to pay for his new toys. Too bad he doesn't understand that dollars are worth more than pennies yet.

How do you butter your corn?

With the "crumby" bread?
The awkward knife?
Straight on the butter
Which leaves you with this?
Another fun gadget...the corn butterer. I know, the silliest things give me way too much pleasure :)

Halloween in May?

My boys love to pretend and so I put all the Halloween costumes out for playtime and made a few more to add to their repertoire.

Bye Bye Amoxicillin

He had it 2 weeks ago for a possible ear infection, then we got it again because he has this horrible cough he can't kick. He was already going to be staying home from church, and right before I was headed out the door, he comes to show me this. Well, this times 10. There wasn't a space on his chest or back that wasn't covered.
Over the next few days the rash moved all over and back again
Poor kid. No more "cillin's" for him.
