Orange Moon

We were up very early one morning and Brandon said, "Lindsey, get your camera! You have got to see the moon!" This was they morning before the eclipse (which I didn't know about until later) and the best I could manage in the sub-zero temperatures as I was shaking in the cold. We have got to find our tripod! It's been MIA since the move...
So, you don't really get to see the bright orange color that it was, but you can see how bright it was and how BIG it was!

Snowman Faces

All Dressed Up

What a handsome boy huh...
We were able to go to the dedication of the new BYU Idaho Center
It's as big as the conference center (less 6 rows)!

Sick for Church?

Last week Kurt had a cold and a sore throat and so I had him stay home with Brandon. Luke was sad and confused that Kurt wasn't coming with us and/or that he didn't get to stay home too. Before he and I had left he kept trying to tell me that he was "sick for church too." Brandon and I giggled and told him he had to go to church.
Today we had tickets to go to the dedication of the BYU-I Center and we were getting dressed up in our "sunday clothes." Luke didn't want to wear his suit and said, "I sink I sick for church." Again, we giggled. I said, "We're not going to church Luke, we're going to Daddy's school for a special meeting." You could see his little face thinking and processing and he said, "I sick for school today."

Was Satan Proud?

I put it off and put it off, but I couldn't avoid it any longer. The post office. So we packed everything up and went. There was a line, but I was trying to be very patient since I'd procrastinated so long. I put the boys on the stroller to perhaps keep them a little contained and they did great! That is until it was finally our turn to mail our packages. They turned into monsters!! Ugh! Why does that always happen?
So after getting the packages off, struggling through the 5 doors to get back outside, we were back in the car. I turned around to the boys and told them that I was disappointed in their choices and actions and that they embarrassed me (because everyone in line stared and stared). I said, "Do you think that Jesus would have been proud of how you acted? Do you think you made the right choices?" They said no.
About 3 minutes later, Kurt said to me, "Mom, Jesus loves us even if we make the wrong choices."
Ah, he was right... But I said, "Yes, he does love you no matter what. Just like I love you no matter what. But that doesn't mean that I was proud of your choices. Jesus will always love you, but he doesn't want you to make the wrong choices. He still wants us to choose the right and he the best boys we can be."
Kurt asked, "So, was Satan proud of us?"

Meeting Santa

We went to the library for their North Pole Extravagansa mostly to meet Santa. It was, uh, very country. :)
