Brandon has been reading Dick and Jane with Kurt for the last month. Kurt has picked up reading like a pro. I finally pulled the camera out to capture the skills for posterity. He loves to read the words "something" and "cookie."

also i got you comment on my photography blog and i use the nikon D300 and the nikon D90 i have a few different lenses i like too. are you thinking of picking up photography?

No, we didn't. We still have some cards for that though. He just reads it with us every night and we practice sounding out words and recognizing words he's seen before.
I'm impressed. Dad says, How old is he? You better watch out for this one. He may be too smart for his britches before you know it.
um, what? is he reading or memorizing...either way i'm impressed. maybe he can come teach my kids!
Yes, it's reading. We have 2 of the Dick and Jane collection books and they read a new chapter every night together. They're great books b/c they start out with so many words that you can learn and recognize, then they'll add 1 new word in every chapter. But he'll see the words he knows when we're out and about and he'll tell me them - Mom, I see "to" or "ball" or "something." It amazes me really
