Kurt really, really wanted to win because the prize was a "super cool bike!" We encouraged him to enter, but also tried to warn him that he might not win the bike. When I saw how many pictures had been turned in I was really sure he wouldn't win. So I was very surprised when I got a phone call from the sponsor. My thought was, "There's no way he actually won..."
He wasn't the grand prize winner, but since they had so many great pictures, they decided to give prizes to the top 5. The prize was candy, but we didn't need any more of that, so we went and exchanged it. Kurt chose 'JetBlade' who is a Transformer (who never transforms because we can't figure out how).
