We'll meet you in St. Louis

Brandon headed to Iowa after Thanksgiving to defend his dissertation (YEA).  He passed and will officially graduate this semester!  Then he headed down to St. Louis with Uncle Bill for his wedding.  We flew out to meet them there to be with them on Bill and Christina's special day.

The Beautiful Bride and Groom - Christina and Bill.

Brandon performed his best man duties very well.

The boys were the Ring Bearers

slash Jr. Best Men

Brandon and another best man also played a duet for the processional.

The boys didn't drop or lose the rings

You may now kiss the bride

They danced with all the bridesmaids

And took the garter toss very seriously. Kurt actually dove for it and barely missed it.

We had half a day to play in the city before our flights home. We went to the Arch and the zoo.

Halloween 2012

Our pumpkins were just about as big as our little pumpkin

Kurt was very serious about the carving this year

He even stuck his hand in to get out some guts! That was a first.

Erg! I did it!

Luke is always willing to get the guts.

This year he even played with them afterwards.

Here I am doing my part- though I think I'd rather clean out than carve

Luke and his finished product

The best picture we got at night before he walked into the corner of the kitchen table and we forgot about Mickey...

Then we all transformed into our alter-ego's :)  Brandon's students have been telling him for years that he looks like Syndrome (I don't see it), but we started there and built around it.  My options were limited, but I found the glasses and I knew that I'd be Edna.  Kurt (being older and "the strongest") became Mr. Incredible, Luke is Dash (because "he's the fastest") and Clark is little Jack Jack.

Read a Thon 2012

Another Read-a-thon assembly.  Mr. Busby getting ready to announce the biggest readers from over Harvest Break.
"Our biggest reader from 1st grade, Kurt Bascom."

"What did I do? Me?" (Not quite sure he was paying attention).

All the top readers from 1st grade were all from his class
